Install the washers and screws that attach the electronic speed switch to the mounting tray.
(3)
Connect the electrical connector to the electronic speed switch.
B. On airplanes with the bonding jumper installed on the electronic speed switch, install the electronic speed switch:
(1)
Remove the nut and washers that attach the bonding jumper to the electronic speed switch.
(2)
Install the bonding jumper to the electronic speed switch with the washers and nut (AMM 20-10-185/401).
(a) You must have a resistance of 0.0025 ohm maximum (AMM 20-22-01/601).
(3)
Put the electronic speed switch on the mounting tray.
(4)
Install the washers and screws that attach the electronic speed switch to the mounting tray.
(a) You must have a resistance of 0.01 ohm maximum (AMM 20-22-01/601).
(5)
Connect the electrical connector to the electronic speed switch.
C. Close aft lowered ceiling panel No. 2.
D. Operate engine to test operation of electronic speed switch.
(1)
Start APU (AMM 49-11-0/201).
(2)
Allow engine to stabilize.
(3)
Shut down APU (AMM 49-11-0/201).

E. On airplanes having an electronic speed switch with starter overspeed protection, determine that the starter overspeed protection circuit of the electronic speed switch is functioning properly by performing the following check:
(1)
Disconnect electrical connector D1262 from tachometer-generator.
(2)
Disconnect high pressure fuel line from fuel atomizer fitting at combustor unit cap. Allow fuel from fuel line to drain into container (approximately 3 gal capacity).
(3)
Motor APU (AMM 49-11-0/201).
NOTE: Do not disconnect electrical connector from sequencing oil pressure switch.
(4)
Observe that cranking stops automatically within 11 to 15 seconds.
(5)
Reconnect high pressure fuel line at fitting on combustor unit cap.
(6)
Reconnect electrical connector D1262 to tachometer-generator.
5. Restore Airplane to Normal Configuration
A. Close circuit breaker on M280 module - APU control unit on E3-3 electronic shelf.
B. Remove placard and position BATTERY switch to OFF if electrical power is no longer necessary on airplane.

SEQUENCING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Prepare for Sequencing Oil Pressure Switch Removal
A. Position BATTERY SWITCH and APU START SWITCH to OFF and placard that APU maintenance is "in work."
B. Open the circuit breaker on M280 module-APU accessory unit on E3-3 electronic shelf.
C. Open APU compartment access door latches and open door. Install door support rods.
D. Support shroud, open shroud latches, and remove shroud.
CAUTION: EXERCISE EXTREME CARE NOT TO DAMAGE SHROUD DRAIN LINES WHEN HANDLING SHROUD.
