Toilets
(a)
Antifreeze fluids may be added to the toilet flushing water to prevent freezing. Care must be exercised in the selection of materials used. Foaming may occur as a reaction between the antifreeze and the flushing deodorizer detergent. Antifoam agents may also deteriorate in the presence of the deodorizing detergent and allow foaming to occur. Check fluid manufacturers' recommendations for compatibility.
(b)
The toilet flushing system may be completely drained to prevent freezing (Ref Chapter 12, Waste Water System - Servicing).

Freezing point of fluid mixture at the first step shall be not more than 3C above OAT.
