ENGINE EXHAUST
01-78-10: Reverse Thrust
1. General:
• Cancellation of reverse thrust should be initiated by 70 KCAS so as to be at
idle reverse thrust by normal taxi speed.
• Thrust reverser door extension at taxi speeds is permitted if ASC 166 is
incorporated and thrust levels are kept low.
• Use of the thrust reversers for power back is not approved.
• Under adverse landing conditions or aborted takeoff, maximum reverse
thrust may be selected and operated as required. Record and report limit
exceedance.
2. For Airplanes SN 1000 Through 1143 Without ASC 166:
Use of thrust reversers is limited to one (1) minute every thirty (30) minutes.

ENGINE OIL
01-79-10: Oil Inlet Temperature
1. Maximum:
105°C (Oil temperature up to 120°C for a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes is
permissible.)
2. Minimum For Starting:
-40°C
3. Minimum For Opening Power Lever:
-30°C
NOTE:
External heating will be required to raise oil
temperature to -40°C for cold weather starting. If oil
temperatures is less than -30°C, the engine should be
idled until at least -30°C temperature is reached.
01-79-20: Oil Pressure
1. Minimum At Idle: 16 psi
2. Minimum Acceptable For Takeoff (At Takeoff Power): 30 psi
3. Minimum To Complete Flight:
A. At Maximum Continuous (97.5% HP): 25 psi
B. 92% HP RPM: 22 psi
C. 84% HP RPM: 19 psi
D. 76% HP RPM Or Lower: 16 psi

ENGINE STARTING
01-80-10: Engine Starter Duty Limits
Continued use of the starter is limited to three (3) crank cycles with a maximum of thirty
(30) seconds per cycle. Delay three (3) minutes between start attempts. After three (3)
cycles, delay use of the starter for at least fifteen (15) minutes.
