Remarks: This reflects the much perceived much reduced risk posed to comm. receivers as compared

Table 3-3 The United States wishes to register disapproval. The column for VDL Mode 4 indicates there are two
levels of priority associated with this link. Current information indicates that at that time there were
three levels of priority. The DLS has been rewritten and approved with 16 levels, not all of which are
appropriate for usage in this band.
Remarks: This update needs correction. This is a technical matter that should be referred to the
Aeronautical Communications Panel to determine the appropriate answer.
Specific US Regulation and/orpractice: ICAO technical documentation on VDL Mode 4.

b) record the entry of this amendment on page (ii).
