eight characters on each of the two lines. When the test is
complete, DISPLAY TEST? shows on the display. Use the MENU
key to return to previous menu.
Ground Tests Passed
If the ground test that you selected passes the test, the display
shows TEST PASSED. If the test fails, the display shows a fault
message under MORE DETAILS. The information under MORE
DETAILS is the same as for the EXISTING FAULTS test.

Other Functions
OTHER FUNCTIONS is one of the main menu selections in the
SMYD BITE. It has these two sub-menu items:
* SYSTEM CONFIG
* I/O MONITOR
GUN 001-099, 101-113, 115, 201-999
* SET OUTPUTS.
GUN ALL
To enter these sub-menus, push the YES key for OTHER
FUNCTIONS, then scroll to the desired sub-menu item using the
up and down arrow keys.
System Configuration
In the system configuration sub-menu, you verify these program
pin options for the SMYD:
* Part number
* Software Level
* Position (1 or 2)
* Airplane type (737-600/700/800)
* FAA or CAA/FAA.
The SMYD provides hardware part number and software level,
its position (1 or 2) on the E/E shelf, airplane type and FAA or
FAA/CAA.
I/O Monitor
In the I/O monitor sub-menu you verify SMYD input and output
data on these ARINC 429 buses:
* ARINC 429 inputs
* ARINC 429 low speed outputs
* ARINC 429 high speed outputs.
You can see data on ARINC 429 buses for these systems:
* On-side IR bus (ADIRU)
* Off-side IR bus
* On-side ADR bus
* CDS DEU bus
* FMC bus
* DFCS MCP bus
* SMYD cross-channel bus.
The data word label and value of data transmitted shows for
each ARINC bus. It also shows bit status whether 1 or 0.
Refer to the section on SMYD Digital Interfaces for detailed
information about digital input/output data.

Set Outputs
In the set outputs sub-menu, you do a test of the output signals
for the EFSM operation. The SS CMD does a test of the 28v dc
power supply to the stick shaker (SS) only. The SS CMD &
EFSM CMD does a test of the 28v dc power supply to the stick
shaker (SS) and also tests the electrical ground signal provided
to the EFSM and completes the circuit for EFSM operation.
