If DH is more than 300 ft, calculate the Horizontal distance between the beginning of the Rwy and the point above which the Glide Slope intersect DH, using the formula:
DH in FT - 50 FT X 60 Glide Slope X 3.2808 a) This horizontal distance rounded off to next 100 M would be
RVR/Visibility for Basic facilities of ALS. b) Reduce this value by 400 M for Intermediate facilities. c) Reduce this value by 800 M for Full facilities and the reduced value should not fall below of a minimum of VIS/RVR of 1000 M.

Met minima for ILS CAT I /II/III A/III B (Multiple RVR):

Approach DH(ft) Touch Down RVR Mid RVR Roll Out RVR
CAT-I 200-250 250-300 550M 650M Not Applicable Not Applicable
CAT-II 100 350M 200M Not Applicable
CAT-IIIA 50 200M 200M 200M

Note: Pilots, who are cleared for CAT-III Operations, are allowed to be use Take-off RVR of 125 M. However, Pilots who are cleared for Low Visibility to use CAT-II, will have a Take-off RVR of 200 M as per DGCA Ops. Circular no.6 of 1999, Rev. 4, dated 21st Oct, 2008 of Aerodrome Operating Minima.
Met Minima for Non-Precision Approach are as follows:

Calculation of MDH (Refer Ops Circular 6 of 1999, Rev 4 dt: 21.10.2008 )
Subtract the airfield elevation from MDA in case the threshold elevation not more than 7 feet below the airfield elevation
OR Subtract threshold elevation from MDA in case the threshold elevation is more than 7 feet below the airfield elevation. Note: * i) There is NO Non precision Approach in India, which has MDH less than 320 ft. ii) NDB Minima are not less than 3600 M.
7.1 AOMs for Newly appointed PIC (Restricted Capt)
In order to achieve safety in aircraft operations, the operators shall add the margins as given in the table below, to the approved normal operating minima for the newly appointed pilot-in-command (less than 100 Hrs as PIC) on a particular type of aircraft.
7.2 Criteria for Increasing Minima
Precision Approach: Increase DH by 50ft and Visibility (RVR) by 100 M Non- Precision Approach: Increase MDH by 50ft and Visibility by 200 M
7.3 Example:
Procedure DA (DH) or VIS (RVR) Mt.
