6. Calculations of AOMs:
Normal AOMs for Approach Cat A, B, C and D are calculated as per ICAO Document 9365-AN/910 "Manual of All Weather Operations".
6.1. State Minima: AOMs for civil Airports have been published by DGCA vide Operations Circular No. 6 of 1999, dated 22nd Dec 1999, Rev. 4 dated 21st Oct, 2008. The circular includes Normal AOM and Restricted AOM for Cat A, B, C and D Aircraft and Low Visibility Take-off Operations procedures and conditions. These published Minima are called State Minima.
6.2 Normal AOMs are for the use of scheduled Domestic and International Operators, operating at Indian Airports after duly authorized by the DGCA.
6.3 Restricted AOMs are for the use of Operators who do not have
DGCA approval for Normal AOM.
Airport Authority of India (AAI) and scheduled Airlines should keep
updating these minima for the new facilities and latest OCAs.
6.4 Jeppessen Minima
M/s Jeppessen has worked out minima as per their own criteria, printed on the Jeppessen Instrument approach charts. These Minima may differ from the state minima. However, these minima should not be lower than the State Minima.
6.5 AOMs for NACIL (I), Air India:
Executive Director (Training), CTE, NACIL (I) has been authorized by DGCA to establish AOMs for all Airports as per the criteria given in ICAO Document 9365-AN/910. Applicable AOMs for A319/A320/A321 and A330 aircraft (Cat C) are kept updated, printed and forwarded to all Pilots/Users by OPT Section, CTE, NACIL (I). The commonly used Met Minima are summarized in the following tables:
