feet. IAS/MACH selection is from 110 to 340 and 0.6 to 0.82 in increments of 1kt or 0.01 M.  IAS/MACH display is limited to the existing VMO/MMO.  The bank angle selector permits selection of maximum bank angle (10 to 30 degrees) in increments of 5 degrees in some roll modes.  Liquid Crystal Displays provide a digital readout of preset heading, IAS/MACH, altitude, vertical speed, and separate captain's and first officer's preset course selections.  Additionally, the IAS/MACH LCD has flashing warning flags for underspeed and overspeed in the left most position.  Undersped (A) is displayed if the airplane speed is decreased to the minimum speed except in TO or GA.  The A remains until the speed has been increased to 15 knots above the minimum speed.  Overspeed is displayed when the airplane speed is greater than the VMO/MMO limit or speed is within 2 knots of the flap or gear placard or while in VNAV mode in descent below 10,000 feet and airspeed great than 255 knot.

[4]  Figure 38-3 illustrates the autoflight status annunciator. This annunciator indicates the fail/warn status of the A/P, A/T, and FMC. The

annunciations are warning lights. A flashing red light indicates that the system has disengaged. A steady red and amber is used to indicate other types of system malfunction. The test switch is spring loaded to the center position. In the TEST 1 position, the A/P light is illuminated steady amber. In TEST 2, theA/P light is illuminated steady red.In figure 38-4, the thrust mode annunciation ( TMA ) shows on the primary engine display( PED). The annunciations are TO, R-TO, CLB, R-CLIMB, CRZ, GA and CON. The TMA shows dashed if no computed data (NCD) is received from the FMC and blanks if the data is not valid. An A/T LIM light above the PED turns on if the A/T computer limit is being used instead of the FMC limit.

[5] We know that the EADIs are located on captain's and first officer's instrument panels. A/T modes, pitch modes, roll modes and the DFCS status are annunciated in the upper left and upper right corners of the EADI. An engaged mode is annunciated in green and armed mode in white. When a new mode is engaged, a box is diplayed around the engaged mode for 10 sec. DFCS status annunciations, F/D , CMD and TEST are green. CWS PITCH and CWS ROLL are yellow annunciation. DFCS status annunciation provides an indication of the operating status of the DFCS to the flight crew. Flight director command bars are magenta. The F/D are displayed with F/D switch in the ON position and a valid mode selected. A yellow F/D flag is displayed on the EADI when the FCC is not valid. If a sensor is not valid for the mode in use, the command bar is biased out of view.
