WATER TANK PRESSURIZATION -UNLOADER CHECK VALVE
Purpose
The unloader check valve does not permit pressure from the pneumatic system to pressurize the line from the compressor. It also bleeds air from the line to the compressor when the compressor stops.
Physical Description
The valve has a vent hole and an arrow that shows flow direction.
Location
The valve is above the ceiling of the bulk cargo compartment. It is above and forward of the inboard water tank. It is in the pressure line from the compressor. It is downstream of the connection with the pressure line from the pneumatic system.
Functional Description
The valve bleeds air from the line between it and the compressor. This permits the compressor to start.
Training Information Point
The check valve has a flow direction arrow. You must install this valve with the arrow in the direction of the flow. If you install the valve incorrectly, the system will fail a functional test. Incorrect installation does not permit the compressor to pressurize the water tanks.

WATER TANK PRESSURIZATION -PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
Purpose
The pressure relief valve prevents pressure greater than 60 psig in the potable water pressurization system.
Physical Description
The pressure relief valve has a tube fitting that connects to the pressure line.
Location
The pressure relief valve is above the inboard water tank. It is in the pressure line for the potable water tank. It is immediately upstream of where the line goes into the inboard tank. Access is through the end wall of the bulk cargo compartment.

WATER TANK PRESSURIZATION -PRESSURE LIMIT SWITCH
Purpose
The pressure limit switch is part of a control circuit that controls the operation of the compressor.
The switch starts the compressor when tank pressure is 35 psig or less. The switch stops the compressor when tank pressure is 45 psig.
Physical Description
The pressure limit switch has an electrical connector and a tube fitting.
Location
The switch is above the inboard water tank. It is in the pressure line. It is upstream of where the line goes into the tank. Access is through the end wall of the bulk cargo compartment.

WATER TANK PRESSURIZATION -PRESSURE REGULATOR
Purpose
The pressure regulator controls the pressure from the pneumatic system that goes into the tank. It keeps pressure at a maximum of 45 psig.
Physical Description
The pressure regulator has connections for the line from the pneumatic system and the line that goes to the water tank pressurization system.
Location
The regulator is above the ceiling of the bulk cargo compartment. It is above and forward of the inboard water tank. It is in the pressure line from the pneumatic system. It is downstream of the check valve.

WATER TANK PRESSURIZATION -IN-LINE AIR FILTER
Purpose
The in-line air filter removes particles from the pneumatic system air before it goes into the pressure regulator.
Physical Description
The filter has a housing and a filter element.
Location
The filter is above the ceiling of the bulk cargo compartment. It is above and forward of the inboard water tank. It is in the pressure line from the pneumatic system. It is upstream of the pressure regulator.
Training Information Point
This filter is replaceable.
