Remove pivot bolt, cotter pin, nut, washers and bushing attaching driver link to aft support.
(4)
Remove driver link from linkage assembly.
B. Install Driver Link
(1) ENGINES WITHOUT DRIVER LINK LUBRICATION FITTINGS; Attach driver link to aft support with pivot bolt, washer retainer (or washer) bushing, washer and nut. Make sure the bolthead points away from the engine
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY LUBRICANT. SEIZING COULD OCCUR FROM BREAKDOWN OF LUBRICANT AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE DRIVER LINK IS INSTALLED WITH THE STRAIGHT SIDE TOWARD THE THRUST REVERSER. INSTALLING THE DRIVER LINK BACKWARDS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) ENGINES WITH DRIVER LINK LUBRICATION FITTINGS; Apply thin coat of lubricant to all bolt shanks, inner and outer surface of spherical bearing, and inner and outer surface of bushing.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY LUBRICANT TO BOLT THREADS, UNDER BOLTHEADS, UNDER WASHERS OR UNDER NUTS; OVERTORQUING OF THE FASTENERS MAY RESULT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE DRIVER LINK IS INSTALLED WITH THE STRAIGHT SIDE TOWARD THE THRUST REVERSER. INSTALLING THE DRIVER LINK BACKWARDS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Attach driver link to aft support with pivot bolt, washer retainer (or washer) bushing, washer and nut. Make sure the bolthead points away from the engine.
(3)
Tighten nut 660 to 780 pound-inches and install cotter pin.
(4)
Connect driver link to overcenter link with bolt, washers, and nut. Make sure the bolthead points to the engine.
(5)
Tighten nut 95 to 110 pound-inches and install cotter pin.
(6)
Attach driver link to deflector door with bolt, washers and nut.
NOTE: The direction of the bolthead is optional.
(7)
Tighten nut 95 to 110 pound-inches and install cotter pin.
(8)
Lubricate driver link fittings (AMM 12-28-11/201).
5. Removal/Installation Idler Links
A. Remove Idler Link
(1)
Remove nut, washers and bolt connecting idler link to deflector door (Fig. 401).
(2)
Remove cotter pin, nut, washers, bolt and bushing connecting idler link to aft support.
(3)
Remove idler link from linkage assembly.

B. Install Idler Link
(1)
ENGINES WITHOUT IDLER LINK LUBRICATION FITTINGS; Attach idler link to aft support with bushing, bolt, washer, washer retainer (or washer) and nut (Fig. 401).
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY LUBRICANT. SEIZING COULD OCCUR FROM BREAKDOWN OF LUBRICANT AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.

ENGINES WITH IDLER LINK LUBRICATION FITTINGS; Apply thin coat of lubricant to all bolt shanks, inner and outer surface of spherical bearing, and inner and outer surface of bushing.
CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY LUBRICANT TO BOLT THREADS, UNDER BOLTHEADS, UNDER WASHERS OR UNDER NUTS; OVERTORQUING OF THE FASTENERS MAY RESULT.
(a) Attach idler link to aft support with bushing, bolt, washer, washer retainer (or washer) and nut (Fig. 401).
(3)
Tighten nut 480 to 600 pound-inches and install cotter pin.
(4)
Attach idler link to deflector door with bolt, washers and nut. Bolthead must be in the inboard position.
(5)
Tighten nut 160 to 190 pound-inches.
(6)
Lubricate idler link fittings (AMM 12-28-11/201).
6. Removal/Installation Overcenter Links
A. Remove Overcenter Link
(1)
Remove cotter pin, nut, washers and bolt connecting overcenter link to driver link (Fig. 401).
(2)
Remove cotter pin, nut, washer and bolt connecting overcenter link to guide carriage.
