3.  Removal/Installation of PSU Loudspeaker (Carry all Interiors) (Fig. 401)
A.  Remove Loudspeaker
(1)  
Insert small rod or similar device into hole near each inboard corner of PSU and push to release latch (use care not to mar PSU surface) and lower PSU until lanyard is taut.

(2)  
Identify and then detach two leads from loudspeaker.

(3)  
Unfasten speaker and remove.

(4)  
Raise PSU and check that latches are engaged.


B.  Install Loudspeaker
(1)  
Insert small rod or similar device into hole near each inboard corner of PSU and push to release latch (use care not to mar PSU surface) and lower PSU until lanyard is taut.

(2)  
Install loudspeaker with fasteners or spring clips.

(3)  
Attach speaker leads.

(4)  
Raise PSU and check that latches are engaged.


4.  Removal/Installation of PSU Loudspeaker (New Look Interiors) (Fig. 402)
A.  Remove Loudspeaker
(1)  
Release two 1/4-turn fasteners on PSU or insert small rod or similar device into hole near each inboard corner of PSU and push to release latch (use care not to mar PSU surface) and lower PSU until lanyard is taut.

(2)  
Identify and then detach two leads from loudspeaker.

(3)  
Unfasten speaker and remove.

(4)  
Raise PSU and check that latches are engaged.


B.  Install Loudspeaker
(1)  
Release two 1/4-turn fasteners on PSU or insert small rod or similar device into hole near each inboard corner of PSU and push to release latch (use care not to mar PSU surface) and lower PSU until lanyard is taut.

(2)  
Install loudspeaker with fasteners on spring clips.

(3)  
Attach speaker leads.

(4)  
Raise PSU and check that latches are engaged.


5.  Removal/Installation of PSU Loudspeaker (ATI Interior) (Fig. 403)
A.  Remove Loudspeaker
(1)  Access speaker by opening PSU Oxygen/light panel assembly:
(a)  
Insert rod into holes in PSU face panel to unlatch assembly.

(b)  
Support PSU panel, press spring clip through hole in frame.

(c)  
Lower PSU panel assembly until supported by lanyard.

(2)  
Disconnect PSU electrical connector.

(3)  
Note location of electrical wires on speaker transformer terminals COM and 2K. Disconnect the two speaker wires from the transformer terminals.

(4)  
Deflect torsion springs at speaker (2 places) so that speaker can be removed from the PSU assembly.

(5)  
Lift/remove speaker from PSU. Be careful not to damage the speaker gasket.

(6)  
Release torsion springs.


B.  Install Loudspeaker
(1)  
Locate speaker gasket for proper mating with speaker and PSU.

(2)  
Deflect torsion springs on PSU assembly to allow insertion of speaker.

(3)  
Insert speaker onto PSU assembly so that gasket is installed properly.

(4)  
Release torsion springs so that speaker is firmly in place.

(5)  
Connect electrical wires to speaker transformer terminals as noted in the removal procedure.

(a)  
Red to 2K.

(b)  
Blue to COM.

 

(6)  
Reconnect PSU electrical connector.

(7)  
Lift PSU panel assembly until it latches into its normally installed position.


6.  Removal/Installation of Attendant's Loudspeaker (Fig. 404)
A.  Remove Loudspeaker
(1)  
Release two catches and lower ceiling panel.

(2)  
Identify and detach two leads from speaker.

(3)  
Remove four screws, speaker cover, and speaker.


B.  Install Loudspeaker
(1)  
Hold speaker and cover in place and secure with four screws.

(2)  
Attach leads to speaker.

(3)  
Raise ceiling panel and check that catches are fully engaged.
