 A. The failure message IGN2, ECU is generated if there is no light off detected 10 seconds after the fuel is turned on.
 (1) If an audible spark cannot be heard on the left igniter plug (B):
 - replace the left igniter plug (B) (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-30-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-30-400-002).
 (a) If an audible spark is not heard: R - replace the left ignition lead (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-20-000-002) R and (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-20-400-002).

 (b) If an audible spark is not heard:

 - replace the lower exciter box (Ref. AMM TASK 74-11-10-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 74-11-10-400-002).

 (c) If an audible spark is not heard:

 - replace the ECU (4000KS) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-001).

 (d) If an audible spark is not heard:


 - replace the EIU-1 (1KS1) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-400-040).

 (2) If an audible spark can be heard on the left igniter plug (B): R - replace the left ignition lead (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-20-000-002) and R (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-20-400-002).


 (3) If an audible spark can be heard on the left igniter plug (B), but the failure message is repetitive:
 - do the following steps after trouble shooting per steps Para. 4.A.(2). has been fully done,

 - replace the igniter B (left igniter plug) (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-30-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 74-21-30-400-002).


 (a) If the fault continues during subsequent flights:

 - replace the lower exciter box (Ref. AMM TASK 74-11-10-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 74-11-10-400-002).

 (b) If the fault continues during subsequent flights:

 - replace the HJ2 harness (Ref. AMM TASK 71-52-43-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-52-43-400-004).

 (c) If the fault continues during subsequent flights:

 - replace the ECU (4000KS) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-001).

 (d) If the fault continues during subsequent flights:


 - replace the EIU-1 (1KS1) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-000-040) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-400-040).

 (1) No additional maintenance action is required if the fault is not confirmed.

 (2) Repeat the fault isolation procedure if the fault continues.

 3. Fault Confirmation

 A. Do the operational test of the ignition system, by performing an aural check of the igniter plug operation (Ref. AMM TASK 74-00-00-710-040).
 NOTE : The igniter test will spark the right igniter plug (A) for 10
____ seconds, wait 2 seconds then spark the left igniter plug (B) for 10 seconds. This test provides for an aural feedback of proper ignition operation . No CFDS test results are available.
