No Smoking Lights
· OFF Turns
NO SMOKING and EXIT
signs off and associated chime
sounds.
· AUTO Causes
NO SMOKING and
EXIT to come on when the landing
gear is extended and to go off when
the gear is retracted.. Associated
chime sounds when the signs come on
and go off.
UPDATE Currently
the NO
SMOKING sign is always illuminated
and needs to remain in Auto to allow
for Emergency exit battery charging.
· ON Causes
NO SMOKING signs to
illuminate and associated chime
sounds. The EXIT signs may or may
not illuminate, depending on which
Cabin Attendant Module (CAM) is
installed.
·
EMER EXIT LT
· ON Causes
overhead emergency
lights, EXIT signs and escape path
lighting system to illuminate.
· ARM Causes
overhead emergency
lights to automatically illuminate if AC
bus 1 or DC ESS SHED bus fails, or if
the emergency generator is operating
due to normal aircraft electrical power
failure.
Escape path lighting and EXIT signs
automatically illuminate if DC ESS
SHED bus fails or normal aircraft
electrical power fails without the
emergency generator operating.
EXIT sign also automatically illuminate
when cabin altitude exceeds 11,300
feet and may illuminate when the NO
SMOKING switch is selected ON,
independent of EMER EXIT LT
selector.

a320 Throttle Controls Transmission Switches
When pushed in, selected the associated
channel for transmission and the three green
lines illuminate. The channel is deselected by
pushing the switch again or selecting another
channel.
· VHF/HF When
pushed, allows
communication on applicable
transceiver. "CALL" flashes when a
SELCAL is received on the applicable
radio.
· INT When
pushed, allows
communication on the flight interphone
system. "MECH" flashes when a call is
received from the external service
interphone panel. Light goes off after
60 seconds if not reset.
· CAB When
pushed, allows
communication on the Cabin
interphone system or service
interphone. "ATT" flashes when a call
is received from a Flight Attendant
station. Light goes off after 60 seconds
if not reset.
· PA Used
for PA transmission via
boom, oxygen mask or hand mike.
The transmission switch must be
pressed and held to use the PA
system. PA announcements can also
be made using the cockpit handset
without selecting the PA transmission
switch.
Reception Knobs
Select reception channels and adjust
associated audio levels. When knob is
released out, the respective channel is
selected and the knob illuminates.
INT / RAD Switch
Operates as a presstotalk
switch for boon or
oxygen mask microphones.
· INT The
interphone is "hot" between
cockpit crew members, regardless of
the transmission switch selection. The
INT knob must be selected for
reception.
· Neutral Disconnects
microphones
from transmission. Reception is
normal.
· RAD Connects
boom or mask
microphones to facility selected on the
ACP. Springloaded
to the neutral
position.
ON Voice Switch
Inhibits ADF and VOR IDENT signals. Switch
illuminates when pushed in.
Reset Switch
Extinguishes lights in the CALL, MECH and
ATT transmission switches.

Radio Management Panel (RMP) ( A320 )
Frequency Displays Windows
· ACTIVE Shows
the active frequency
of the selected radio (which is
identified by the illuminated radio
selection key).
· STBY/CRS Displays
the NAV course
or standby radio frequency. This
frequency is activated by pushing the
transfer switch, and is changed by
rotating the frequency selector knobs.
·
Transfer Switch (Arrow)
When pushed, exchanges the active and
standby frequencies, and tunes the new active
frequency.
Radio Selection Switches (VHF, HF & AM)
