INTRODUCTION
Applicable to:
The Air Traffic Service (ATS) 623 supports datalink communications for :
‐ Departure Clearance (DCL)

These three ATS 623 applications are operated via the MCDU and DCDU. ATS 623 exchanges do
not require any connection to be established between the ground and aircraft systems. Therefore,
for ATS 623 operations, no prior notification is required. ATS 623 datalink applications are based on
existing ATS 623 voice exchanges : Crew requests, ground clearance, crew read-back and ground
confirmation.
The ATS 623 applications can be accessed via the second page of the ATC MENU on the MCDU.
