As long as none of the engines recover, the flight crew must apply this paper
procedure when required by
the ENG DUAL FAILURE procedure. If time permits, clear ECAM alerts, and check
the ECAM STATUS
page.

OPTIMUM RELIGHT

Note: In the case of an ″ENG DUAL FAILURE″ during high power operations (i.e.
climb, cruise), it is
mandatory to fly at or above the optimum relight speed in order to prevent engine
core lock.
In the case of a speed indication failure (volcanic ash), Pitch attitude for optimum
relight speed is:

60 000 kg/132 000 lb -1.5
70 000 kg/154 000 lb -0.5
At 280 kt, the aircraft can fly up to about 2.2 nm per 1 000 ft (with no wind).
