Copy all the published manuals in HTTPD directory (Web server publication directory).
Note: can copy more than one manual loaded in LPC Browser
All manuals shall be stored in different folders:
i.e. FCOM and MEL manuals will be stored in two directories:
<Web server httpd>\foct-fcom
<Web server httpd>\foct-mel
Web server publication directory will be called <Web server httpd>.
3.4
CONFIGURE MANUALS DISPLAY
1.
Change the <LPC Doc Browser install dir>\foct-data\aib.view property. Uncheck “read only” attribute.
2.
Set the right parameters in the <LPC Doc Browser install dir>\ foct-data\aib.view.
For each manual, define a full path to the manuals, using UNC drive or Network drive
i.e. We will display the two manuals:

CONFIGURATION OF LPC BROWSER SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTED ON A NETWORK SHARE
This deployment of LPC Browser is useful in order to have a centralized management of the manuals.
Note: This solution is different from LPC BROWSER-Web solution. Please refer to LPC BROWSER-Web documentation for a complete web based solution for Flight ops documentation consultation.
- LPC Browser is deployed centrally,
- At each startup of LPC Doc Manager, the software will be transferred through the network and will be loaded in the local PC RAM.
- Manuals can be reached through a centralized file server (refer to §2 Manual Files on a Shared File Server or §3 Manual Files on a WEB server).

Limitation:
- At each LPC Browser startup, 100MB of data will be transferred on the network.
- The clients access LPC Doc Manager installation share with a network drive. UNC Path are not allowed.
- The bookmarks, notes and logs for each users will be stored locally, on each client PC.
4.1
PRELIMINARY TASKS
1.
Have LPC Browser CD delivered by Airbus.
2.
Have a network share ready. Right:

Read/Write mode for LPC Browser Administrator / IT,

Read only for all users.
