C. Gross Climb Performance
The gross climb performance data are presented in the following charts:
Figure 07−05A−9 provides the gross climb performance in the take-off configuration;
Figure 07−05A−10 provides the gross climb performance in the final take-off/enroute
configuration.
(1) GROSS CLIMB PERFORMANCE IN TAKE-OFF CONFIGURATION
The gross climb performance in the take-off configuration presented in Figure 07−05A−9
is based on the following:
• Flaps = 20°
• Landing gear = Up
• Climb airspeed = V2
• Engines = One engine at normal take-off thrust (zero bleed) and
other engine at IDLE
Example:
Associated Conditions:
Airplane weight = 41,888 lb (19,000 kg)
Altitude = Sea Level
Temperature = 10°C
The gross rate of climb during the second segment, for the above associated conditions
as shown in Figure 07−05A−9 is 1,040 feet per minute.

(2) GROSS CLIMB PERFORMANCE IN FINAL TAKE-OFF/ENROUTE CONFIGURATION
The gross climb performance in the final take-off/enroute configuration presented in
Figure 07−05A−10 is based on the following:
• Flaps = 0°
• Landing gear = Up
• Climb airspeed = Final take-off/enroute
• Engines = One engine at MCT (ACU on) and other engine
inoperative
Example:
Associated Conditions:
Airplane weight = 41,888 lb (19,000 kg)
Altitude = 5,000 feet
Temperature = 10°C
The gross rate of climb during the final take−off segment, for the above associated
conditions as shown in Figure 07−05A−10 is 1,180 feet per minute.
