This supplement is part of, and must be placed in, the basic FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual
for Brazilian Registered Airplanes. The information contained herein supplements the information of
the basic FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual. For limitations, procedures and performance
information not contained in this supplement, consult the basic FAA Approved Airplane Flight
Manual.
OPERATING LIMITATIONS
GARMIN G1000 AVIONICS SYSTEM - LIMITATIONS
TIS is not operational on Brazilian airplanes.
GARMIN G1000 GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM - LIMITATIONS
1. Manual entry of approach waypoints is prohibited.
2. The pilot must review the complete transition-approach, comparing the waypoints and
altitudes displayed on the FMS flight plan with those on the published procedure prior to
activation, to insure that the correct procedure and transition are selected.
3. FMS/GPS approaches must be performed with a pictorial situational awareness system
(moving map) available to the pilot.
4. FMS/GPS approaches must be performed with autopilot or flight director engaged.
5. If “RAIM” becomes not available in terminal area phase of flight, GPS-based navigation
should be reverted to another IFR-approved navigation system.
6. IF “RAIM” becomes not available in enroute phase of flight, continue to navigate using the
GPS equipment or revert to an alternate means of navigation other than GPS appropriate to
the route and phase of flight. When continuing to use GPS navigation, position must be
verified every 15 minutes using another IFR-approved navigation system.

The operating procedures are the same as those in the basic FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual
except as follows:
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
􀂄 TAILCONE BLEED LEAK
(RED TAIL CONE BLD LK CAS MESSAGE)
Indicates that the tail cone temperature sensor has detected a tail cone temperature over 82ºC
(180ºF) which may indicate a bleed air leak or fire in the tailcone.
• IF CAS MESSAGE EXTINGUISHES
(INDICATES POSSIBLE BLEED LEAK FROM IDLE ENGINE)
3. Throttle - MAINTAIN REDUCED POWER to keep message extinguished.
4. Land as soon as practical.
Procedure Completed
• IF MESSAGE DOES NOT CLEAR
3. Throttle (idle engine) - AS REQUIRED.
4. Throttle (opposite engine) - IDLE.

5. Throttle - MAINTAIN REDUCED POWER to keep message extinguished.
6. Land as soon as practical.

5. Use minimum symmetric power as required for descent and landing. Consider the
potential of baggage or tailcone fire and subsequent need for emergency evacuation
after landing.

2. Throttle (engine with highest ITT) - IDLE. (If unable to determine a higher ITT, start
procedure by retarding the left engine to IDLE.)
