the reservoir pressure gauge.
Turn the nut to close the ground connector valve.
Remove the pressurizing tool.
Install the cap on the ground connector.
Close the circuit breakers.
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of
tools and other items and all access panels are closed.

PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: If you get the fluid on your skin or in in
your eyes:
- Flush it away with clean water.
- Get medical aid.
WARNING: Make sure that the travel ranges of the flight
control surfaces are clear before operating
a hydraulic system.
WARNING: Follow the hydraulic safety procedures.
Precautions have to be taken before starting hydraulic
reservoir filling operation.
Make sure that:
- the speed brakes and spoilers are retracted.
- the thrust reversers are stowed (CFM 56 Engines
only).
- the landing gear is extended and doors are
closed.
- the forward and aft cargo compartment doors
are closed.
All the other hydraulic users must be in a normal
position.
The green hydraulic system must be depressurized. But
do not depressurize the system reservoirs.
The Main Landing Gear door are opened.
Put warning notices in position to prevent
pressurization of the hydraulic systems.
If electrical power is available, on the ECAM check
that the green system pressure shows zero.
If not, operate the rudder to reduce the pressure to
zero.
Safety and tag the appropriate circuit breakers.
In the main landing gear bay, check that the green
reservoir pressure and the green accumulator pressure
are normal.
INSTALLATION
On the ground service panel of the yellow system the
hand pump handle has to be removed.
On the other side of the aircraft open the green ground
service panel.
Notice that it is possible to fill any of the 3
hydraulic reservoirs from the green service panel.
It is also possible to fill the reservoirs with a
hydraulic service cart.
The hand pump handle is connected to the pump shaft,
and the filling hose stowed above the hydraulic panel
is connected to the fill valve. The other end of the
filling hose is put in the hydraulic fluid container.
PROCEDURE
Turn the selector to the green system position.
Make sure that on the quantity indicator the green
light comes on.
Operate the pump.
Monitor the increase of the fluid level on the quantity
indicator.
If there is no electrical power available, the fluid
level can be checked on the reservoir itself.
Stop the flow when the pointer is at the end of the
green line.
Turn the selector back to the NEUTRAL position.
On the quantity indicator, the green light goes off.

RESERVOIR FILLING
If a reservoir is overfilled, it cannot be correctly
pressurized.
In this case it must be drained.
CLOSE-UP
Remove the filling hose and re-install the blanking
caps.
Put the filling hose back in its stowed position.
Remove the handle from the hand pump and put it in its
stowed position at the yellow service panel.
Close the ground service panels.
Close the circuit breakers, close the landing gear
doors.
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of
tools and other items and access panels are closed.
