nose wheel steering switch is in the normal position.
The PSEU processes the inputs and supplies two signals to the
coils on the solenoid valve on the landing gear transfer valve.
The position switch on the transfer valve sends a ground to the
BITE in the PSEU when the valve moves to the alternate
position.
Training Information Point
You can use the BITE on the PSEU to do a test of the operation
of the landing gear transfer valve.
See the Air/ground System section for more information about
the PSEU BITE. (SECTION 32-09)

737-600/700/800/900 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL
General
A towing lever lets you depressurize the nose wheel steering
system. Because of this, you do not have to depressurize
hydraulic system A to tow the airplane.
The towing lever is on the left side of the metering valve module
above the steering actuator.
You can use towbarless equipment to push or pull the airplane.
Operation
The towing lever is spring-loaded to the off position. Move the
lever forward to the tow position. Insert a pin in the pin hole in
the lever to hold the lever in the towing position. A placard on
the protective cover shows the two positions of the towing lever
and gives instructions for towing.
If you tow the airplane and turn the nose wheels more than 78
degrees, you must disconnect the torsion links. Support the
lower torsion link from dragging on the ground when it is
disconnected.
A red stripe on the outside of each nose landing gear door
shows when the wheels are at 78 degrees. When the tow bar
aligns with the red stripe, the wheels are at 78 degrees.
If you tow the airplane and turn the nose wheels more than 90
degrees, you must disconnect the taxi light wire bundle.
Obey these warnings and cautions when you tow the airplane.
WARNING: WHEN YOU TOW THE AIRPLANE, ALL PERSONS
MUST STAY OUT OF THE DANGEROUS AREAS
AROUND THE TOW VEHICLE, TOW BAR, NOSE
WHEELS AND MAIN WHEELS. PERSONS ON THE
GROUND MUST KNOW IF IS POSSIBLE TO BE
RUN OVER BY THE NOSE WHEELS, MAIN WHEELS
AND THE TOW VEHICLE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE
AIRPLANE WILL CHANGE POSITION DURING
PUSHBACK AND TOWING. MAKE SURE YOU
KEEP A MINIMUM OF 10 FEET (3 METERS)
SEPARATION BETWEEN PERSONS ON THE
GROUND AND EQUIPMENT THAT MOVES. IF
YOU DO NOT KEEP THE MINIMUM DISTANCE, A
FATAL INJURY CAN OCCUR.
WARNING: IF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM A IS PRESSURIZED, STAY
CLEAR OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR. DO THIS
WHEN THE STEERING LOCKOUT PIN IS REMOVED
FROM THE TOW LEVER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY
THIS WARNING, INJURY TO PERSONS CAN
OCCUR.

WARNING: IF THE NOSE GEAR STEERING LOCKOUT PIN IS
NOT INSTALLED, MAKE SURE THAN THE
PRESSURE IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM A IS
COMPLETELY REMOVED BEFORE TOWING THE
AIRPLANE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS WARNING,
YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
DAMAGE TO THE STEERING COMPONENTS.
CAUTION: MOVE THE AIRPLANE FORWARD BEFORE YOU
START SHARP TURNS. MAKE SURE THERE ARE
NO SUDDEN STARTS AND STOPS. IF YOU TOW
THE PLANE UNDER HIGH LOAD CONDITIONS,
