(3) Apply the protective paper on the inner and the outer surfaces of the window.

CAUTION: HOLD THE HEAT TERMINAL BLOCKS WHEN YOU TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE
_______ SCREWS. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE TERMINALS ON THE WINDSHIELD.
(4) Disconnect the electrical wires from the bus bars and the control sensor.

G. Remove the Windshield.

Remove the hole plugs for the window handling sling from the windshield (Fig. 401).

Remove applicable bolts (2) to install the sling. (Fig. 401).

Attach the sling to the windshield (Fig. 403).

Tighten the bolts until the pressure seal is broken (approximately 20-30 pound-inches).

Remove the remaining bolts (2).

Remove the windshield (1) from the frame and hold it in a position above the frame.
H. On triplex windshields, remove the short jumper wire on the lower outboard side of the windshield:

CAUTION: MAKE SURE SLING ATTACHMENT IS SECURE AND WINDOW REMAINS IN A
_______ STATIONARY POSITION. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE WIRING DUE TO SUDDEN MOVEMENTS OF THE WINDOW. REMOVE ANY AND ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WITHOUT CAUSING SUDDEN MOVEMENT OF WINDOW.

Remove the cap over the terminal connector.

Remove the screw and washer that attaches the terminal connector to the terminal block.
