5. Install Landing Gear Support Beam
A. Lift landing gear support beam into position through wheel well by raising beam inboard end up and inboard over flap track until beam may be raised clear of hydraulic tubing. Raise beam outboard end and move beam outboard until outboard end is seated in rear spar fitting. Support beam until fasteners are installed (Fig. 402).
B. Install outboard end of rear spar to support beam (Fig. 402).
(1)
Apply a light film of grease to the outboard attach pin and install pin through beam aft support fitting and outboard end of beam. Use 69-63589-9 CRES washer to adjust gap between bushing face and support fitting. Secure pin with lockbolt.
(2)
Check gap between bushing faces in beam and in support fitting. Maximum combined gap shall not exceed 0.020 inch.
(3)
Apply corrosion preventive compound to hole in pin and cavity behind pin to exclude all moisture.
C. Install wing inboard flap, inboard flap track forward support fitting by bolting to beam and forward end of inboard flap track (Fig. 402).
D. Deleted.
E. Install swing link (Fig. 402) between inboard end of support beam and fuselage. Use shims and washers as recorded during the removal procedure. Torque bolts securing swing link to fuselage structure and support beam as specified in section B-B, Fig. 402.
F. Install flap transmission (Ref 27-51-281 R/I).
G. Install flap angle gearbox on aft side of support beam and install inboard section of flap torque tube (Ref 27-51-271 R/I).
H. Remove supports from under support beam.
I. Install ground spoiler actuators and bracing to aft side of support beam and to rear spar (Ref 27-62-72 R/I).
J. Install hydraulic tubing and electric wiring to aft side of support beam.
K. Reinstall hydraulic tubing over bolts securing swing link.
L. Secure lower wing skin section to beam aft of wheel well with screws and attach spoiler braces.

M. Install walking beam hanger fitting to support beam (Detail A, Fig. 401).
(1)
If beam is drilled, install fitting using shims noted during removal.
(2)
If beam is undrilled, use drill jig. When installing new beam, compensate for beam mismatch by tightening nuts on beam half which has positive mismatch and add shims as required so that untorqued gap does not exceed 0.010 inch. Maximum shimming shall not exceed 0.060 inch. Complete tightening of fitting bolts.
N. Bolt stabilizer beam attach fitting to support beam flange. Shim as noted during removal (Fig. 401, detail B).
O. Connect stabilizer beam to attach fitting on support beam using eyebolt with eye inboard. Apply primer to eyebolt but not to bolt threads (Fig. 401, detail B).
6. Return Airplane to Normal
A. Install main landing gear (Ref Chapter 32, Landing Gear).
B. Install main gear wing door (Ref Chapter 32, Landing Gear).
C. Install inboard flap track fairing (Ref Chapter 27, Flaps).
D. Test operation of spoilers and flaps (Ref Chapter 27, Flaps and Speed Brake Control System).
E. Refuel airplane (Ref Chapter 12, Fueling).
