CHRONOMETER
Applicable to: ALL
(1) CHRONO Pushbutton
Pushing this button displays chronometer time on the onside ND.
Pushing it again freezes the displayed value.
Pushing it a third time resets the chronometer, and the chronometer time disappears from the
display.

GENERAL
Applicable to:
A fully independent clock is on the right side of the control panel.
It sends time to the centralized fault data interface unit, the flight data interface unit, and the flight
management and guidance computer.
The clock has two electrical supplies, one of which is a direct connection to the aircraft battery hot
bus.
The clock also has an internal battery that allows it to memorize time (for up to 50 h) if the aircraft
battery is removed.
The clock performs four functions :
It displays “UTC” (GMT) time in hours ‐ and minutes on the center counter.
‐ It displays elapsed time (ET) (from engine startup) in hours and minutes on the lower counter.
‐ It drives the chronometer (CHR), which measures a time interval (from the pushing of the
CHRONO button) in minutes and seconds and displays it with a needle and in numbers on the
upper counter.
‐ It can replace the UTC with the date.

GENERAL
Applicable to:
(1) UTC (GMT) counter
This counter displays the present time in 24 h format.
A trend indicator, which divides a minute into four 15 s periods, uses three horizontal marks :
From 0 to 14 s No mark is lighted.
From 15 to 29 s The highest mark is lighted.
From 30 to 44 s The two highest marks are lighted.
From 45 to 59 s All the three marks are lighted.
(2) Elapsed Time (ET) and chrono counter (CHR)
This counter registers the elapsed time up to 99 h and 59 min.
(3) CHR needle
This needle ticks off chronograph seconds.
It is controlled by the CHR pushbutton.

(4) CHR pushbutton
First push : starts the second needle and the ET/CHR minute display.
Second push : stops the second needle and sums up the minutes in the ET/CHR display.
Third push : resets the second needle to zero and erases the ET/CHR display.
(5) UTC (GMT) selector
«RUN» STARTS THE UTC COUNTER

«HLDY» STOPS UTC COUNTER TO ADVANCE YEARS FOR SETTING
«MSM» TO ADVANCE MINUTES FOR SETTING TO ADVANCE MONTHS FOR SETTING
«HSD» TO ADVANCE HOURS FOR SETTING TO ADVANCE DAYS FOR SETTING
(1) Press the date pushbutton to switch the clock to date mode.
(6) DATE pushbutton
First push : sets the clock to date mode. The date (day, month, year) replaces the UTC
time display.
Second push : sets the clock to time mode. The date display disappears.
Note: in order to select the date mode, the UTC selector must be set to RUN.
