Unzip XMLOps_FCTM_A330_A340_DATE_ICAO_EU__FileDATE.zip

Open the exctracted folder, it contains b220.xml (this is an information file).

Open part 1 folder

Unzip the file XML_CODE.tar using Winzip or any other Zip tool. (Note that the default Windows zip tool does not unzip tar files).

Open the exctracted folder, it contains start.xml file. This is the product file of the airbus manual. This is the entry point for FODM.

PUBLISH AN AIRBUS XML MANUAL IN PDF OR RTF FORMAT

Start FODM

Open FODM using the “manual responsible” login and password: This account has been configured during FODM installation (see Figure 20 : User Manager, new user profile “Manual responsible”).

Open FODM Menu > “Manual” > “Quick Publish”.

Alternatively, you can use the “Quick Publish” functionality in the toolbar button of the Manual manager window.
The wizard “Quick Publish Manual” opens:

Choose the product file (start.xml file) of the manual you would like to publish:
Click “Browse” button.

Select start.xml file

The central panel of the wizard specifies the characteristics of the manual to be loaded.
You must confirm that the information provided in the central panel are valid by notching the “confirm analysis” check box.
Click on “Next >” button.
Select if you want to publish the manual for all aircrafts or if you want to select to print the manual for one or several aircrafts:

Click on “Next >” button
Select your output format: PDF (Acrobat Reader) or RTF (Compatible with MS. Word).

Choose choose the location of the output directory, where the manual will be published in PDF or RTF format.
On the last screen, two progress bars display the advance of the publishing process. The first progress bar represents the global process. The second bar represents the sub tasks of the global process.
Depending on the size of the manual and the capacity of the computer, the publication can take up to two hours.
