B. Concurrent Requirements
None.
C. Reason
(1) Problem
There is a possibility that under high centrifugal load the CT disc retaining nut may
contact and mark the CT disc internal bore.
(2) Cause
The CT disc retaining nut castellations may bend outward under high centrifugal
load.
(3) Solution
Replace the CT disc retaining nut with a redesigned one that is more resistant to high centrifugal load. The introduction of the new nut necessitates the replacement of the key washer and the retaining ring locking device used at this location. A one-time inspection of the CT disc internal bore is also performed.
D. Description
Do a one-time inspection of the CT disc internal bore and replace the CT disc retaining nut, key washer, and retaining ring.
NOTE: This SB can be performed in accordance with the applicable PW200 Engine Maintenance (MM) on in service or spare engines by a trained Operator or FBO personnel, designated Mobile Repair Teams (MRTs) or under the supervision of a P&WC Representative.
