operation. A failure of the SDC, pilot’s DU, or copilot’s DU
will illuminate the CCU FAIL light and display a FAIL
message on the DU. When a fail message is displayed
on the DU, the operator should acknowledge the failure
and rerun BIT to confirm the fault. 26-volt AC to operate
the HUD system is taken from the No. 1 INSTXFMR
through the HUD REF circuit breaker on the No. 1 PDP
DC power for the system is taken from the ESSENTIAL
bus through the HUD SYS circuit breaker also on the No.
1 PDP.

roll change in increments of 1
degree.
PGM NXT/SEL Thee position toggle switch
spring-loaded to off. Active
when program mode is
selected. Operator can
preprogram four normal
modes and four declutter
modes. Operator selects
flashing symbol for display or
goes to next symbol. Once
complete, operator toggles
ACK switch to save
programmed display. To
program full display, use ACK
after changing to new mode.
