Used to maneuver the
airplane on the ground.
The nose wheel steering
system is armed in flight
and enabled when the
airplane is on the ground
(gear down and locked
and WOW).
Heading Indicator and
Index Marks (white)
Indicates tiller selected
to center, 80 LH or RH.
Tiller is spring--loaded to
center.
Nose Wheel Steering
Switch
ARMED -- Nose wheel steering
is armed. Nose wheel steering
is activated with WOW.
OFF -- Nose wheel is set in the
free castoring mode.
